Post 697’s Holocaust Remembrance Program

Our Post has a deep commitment to ensuring that survivors and first hand witnesses of the Holocaust have an opportunity to share their stories and memories with the current generation.

This year, the Post’s Holocaust Remembrance Program expects to visit over 30 schools. Our featured speaker, Mr. Danny Goldsmith, tells the story of how he and his family fared during the Nazi occupation of his native Belgium.

His unbelievable story of how he, his mother and baby sister avoided capture, imprisonment and death at the hands of the Nazis is exciting and moving.

We also feature Bernie Len who, as a young American soldier, was one of the first to enter the concentration camps at the end of World War II.

Both speakers’ stories are supported by unbelievable slide projections which reinforce their stories.

Our programs are available for schools (8th grade through high school) and other organizations.

If interested, please phone Jerry “Yussie” Goldstein at 215-946-7356.
